Freedom = Who God Created Us to Be - Parish News for Thursday, 6/18/20
A VIDEO MESSAGE FROM FR. DAVE
"St. Francis is so much more than a school, it's a close knit community where families and educators come together in Christ. Students receive a top level education that is faith based with an emphasis on building strong morals. Academic excellence is recognized alongside acts of kindness, charity and gentleness. Strong friendships are forged and lasting as the students are together from K-8th in an inclusive environment. St. Francis' leadership is always striving to improve and is never complacent. There are a plethora of enrichment activities and sports in which to choose. When it comes to school spirit, St. Francis can't be outdone!"

Respect Life Monthly Feature
is a free app available from
Google Play Store
. It was developed by The Endowment for Human Development and presents normal human prenatal development from fertilization to birth. The app contains rare first-trimester video clips of the living human embryo and early fetus moving inside the womb. You will find out about pregnancy milestones by watching weekly movies and reviewing weekly summaries of normal development obtained from the past 100 years of human development research.
Please keep our recently departed brothers and sisters in Christ in your prayers, most especially:

School This Fall
Superintendent of Catholic Schools, Adam Dufault has shared a letter to our parents of what our hopes and plans look like at the moment for school opening in the fall. Be assured of our concern for the health and safety of everyone in the school buildings. Of course, we need to be flexible as we receive guidance from the State Health and Education Departments, but our greatest desire is to rejoin in community with one another.

PASSING THE VIRTUAL OFFERTORY BASKET
Father made an appeal during last Sunday's homily, stating that our offertory has been down by 20% over these past few months. We really need everyone to make an ongoing pledge to support our mission. Electronic giving is currently the most consistent way to give, safest and most reliable. Will you consider how you can help us during this time?
Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
MOST RECOMMENDED -
For reoccurring gifts, you can set up automatic debit to one’s bank account or charges to one’s credit card. Please fill out this
Offertory Commitment Form
to set up recurring payments.
One-Time Online Donation
If you normally donate by envelopes or the basket, we have set up a link to donate online with a one-time donation by credit card.
Click here to complete the form
. You may use this link as often as you like.
Another option is through our new TEXT-to-GIVE number. Donate simply by texting SFDS to 740.240.6093. You can also use this in place of your normal offertory basket giving.
If you would like to continue using your envelopes, please mail your contribution into the parish office at 40 Granville Street, Newark, OH 43055. Checks are preferred as cash is not a safe or secure way to fulfill your offertory through the mail.
