Parish News, Thursday, October 3, 2019
A note from our pastor:
I’m reaching out to our parish family to help our young families who want to be involved and engaged at Mass and participate in discipleship groups. Many hands make the load light. If we had 10-12 volunteers for Sunday morning, you would have just one Sunday a month where you are serving in our dedicated child care room. If you are available in the evenings or one Saturday a month, we have needs you can fill for our young families to participate. Please prayerfully consider giving your time, if you can, so others can be fed who are in a different season of life.
A background check and Protecting God’s children are needed to provide this service. The next opportunity at St. Francis is October 21, 6-9 pm. The parish will reimburse you for the cost of your background check. Please keep the receipt.

School Spotlight: We Encounter Christ Together
What does your baptism mean to you? That was the question that Fr. Dave asked everyone at our school Mass. These students are leading the way to be the example in our school. They are living out their Baptismal promise here at SFDS.
These students were recognized for displaying self-control in their classrooms and all that they do:
Ms. Braunbeck was also recognized for her example. Her presence at SFDS is so very valuable. She is loved.
