Parish News, Thursday, February 28 , 2019
Please join us at one of our 3 masses this Wednesday, March 6.
The times are 9 am, 12 pm, and 6 pm (no incense).
Ash Wednesday marks the start of Lent, a period that leads to Easter and has its roots in Jesus' 40 days in the wilderness. It is a period of reflection, prayer and penance.
It is not a Holy Day of opportunity but please take advantage of this great way to begin your Lenten journey with Jesus.
Join us this Sunday between Masses with a Fat Sunday celebration for fun, food fellowship& door prizes. Did someone say, door prizes? Join us for the chance to win one of these authentic Big Easy Baskets filled with the tastes of New Orleans! It doesn't get more N'awlins than Beignet mix & coffee from the iconic Cafe du Monde, creamy pralines from Aunt Sally's & MAM Papaul's King Cake mix! BAAAM!
Please bring your palms back to Church this weekend. The palms will be burned and the ashes used for Ash Wednesday.

Fr. Dave’s homilies are now being recorded at Masses and posted to the parish website,
. So, if you or your children need something to help you fall asleep quickly at night, tune into them (just kidding). They are also available as a podcast (but don’t listen and drive...we want you to reach your destinations safely)! The podcasts are listed on iTunes, Google Play and Spotify, so you can download or listen to them on the go, or share them with loved ones who suffer from insomnia (again, just kidding). We hope you enjoy them and share them with loved ones and friends who you believe will benefit from them. The homilies and podcast links are available on the main page of the parish website or you may search for 'st francis de sales church' on the respective service providers.
